Problem finders are easy to find; problem solvers are worth their weight in gold.

It’s not that things won’t go right; invariably, things will go wrong. Systems will break, people aren’t perfect, and you’re not always at your best.

Teach your team how to think. Rather than giving the answers all the time, only answer a question with a question. Learn to coach people to the answer. Simple things like, ‘what would you do if I wasn’t here?’, ‘What do you want the customer to know, feel or do?’ or ‘What does the customer need to see, feel or experience, to have the confidence to do it now?’ 

Great questions unlock people. Creativity gets you there faster. Get some sunlight in a dark room, because if you really want what’s on the other side of a brick wall, you’ll find a way.
